Slip covered furniture provides many benefits in daily living and they are certainly family and pet friendly!

When deciding on slip covered furniture, keep in mind that a material blend works best to ensure strength combined with a relaxed look and feel. We find that a cotton/polyester blend works best and is durable, holds its shape and washes beautifully!

At House Counsel, replacement slipcovers are also available on our slip covered furniture frames if you decide you want to change the color of a sofa or chair that you originally purchased at our store in Springfield, Missouri.

For those unwanted spills, simply soak the cover in a tub of cold water and be sure to use an enzyme detergent on the stain immediately. The faster you pre-treat the stain, the better your chances are of removing it from the slipcover. I like using Biz Bleach on all my slip covers and I bleach them (they’re white) every 2-3 months, just to keep them crisp and clean. Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator is an enzyme-based, color-safe bleach that breaks down the stain proteins and it’s truly a miracle detergent that should be in every laundry room!

In general, our cushion slip cover fits tight, so wrinkles are easily loosened. If you want to remove the wrinkles completely in the body that covers the furniture frame, light steaming might be necessary – but most people love the relaxed, coastal-casual look that slip covers offer!
